Simple Pear Tarts
Let’s suppose you’re invited to a Thanksgiving dinner and expected to bring a dish. I’d recommend a dessert but nothing store bought! Since we show the Publix bakery our thanks all year long by giving them our money, I think it’s only fitting that this time of year we show our loved ones some respect by making them something from scratch. These pear tarts are really tasty and simple to make. You only need 4 ingredients, canned pear halves, puff pastry, sugar, cinnamon.
Ingredients
Canned Pear Halves
Puff Pastry
Cinnamon
Sugar
1. Unfold the puff pastry and cut along the lines created by the trifold. Then cut it across to create 9 squares
2. Cut 1/2-inch slits across the bottom half of each pear, leaving the “neck” in tact.
3. Fan out each pear and place it on a pastry square.
4. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and bake for 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees

Seems like it would be dry. Is there a glaze or something to go with?
CPL
It’s actually not dry at all because of the pears themselves being so juicy.
