Light Pasta
Do you wanna know when I exercise the most irresponsible eating habit? I’ll tell you. It’s when I get home from work, just about 5 hours since lunch. My stomach is rolling like thunder and I’m drawn to the pantry to stuff my face with anything instant. Wanna know what I find in there that’s ready to eat? I’ll tell you that too.
Cookies, chips, crackers… it’s all nonsense and a handful of cookies is enough to counter any kind of 30-minute workout I may have achieved earlier in the day. My intentions are good. I pull out legitimate dinner ingredients while simultaneously smacking. So in just a few thoughtless minutes I’ve sabotaged my workout and doubled the amount of calories I’ll intake for the evening. The solution? Find a suitable snack! Or let the metaphorical hunger clouds keep rolling in until I’ve finished cooking.
That wait isn’t so excruciating when I make something quick and easy. Like this light and simple pasta dish.
