Grateful: Day 8, Bedtime

As a child, I remember crying when my mother sent me to bed and longing to stay awake late into the night. Sometimes, I’d sneak into the hallway and peek into the living room to see Arsenio Hall.

I was so young, so foolish.

Nowadays, I’m usually counting down the hours until I can get to sleep. And as the mother to small children, bedtime is a glorious time of day. After the children are asleep that is when I truly get to unwind and relax. I’m grateful for that.
