Grateful: Day 5, Sunday Mornings

IMAG2363 (1)

It’s the start of a new week.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to reset and begin again.

Sunday mornings include quality time with my family. It’s the one day we all come together for breakfast. I often make a BIG one, too. It includes French toast and sausage or bacon, eggs and grits served up family style along with conversations about the week ahead.

I help the girls get ready, grooming hair and tweaking their clothes. Then, we head to church where the true tweaking takes place. We always tell our girls to pay attention to the message because after service we ask them, “What did you hear today?” There is no wrong answer and it starts a conversation. It’s a blessing for us to learn from their perspectives and be able to instill in them the value of God’s word.

I’m grateful for Sunday mornings because they are full of peace and order and love.
