Curry Comfort
Monday was one of those days when I just could not WAIT to eat my lunch. It’s been a practice of mine since I hit the Real World, to pack my leftover dinner for lunch. So me and the husband always know what we’re eating for lunch. If dinner wasn’t so stellar, we may forfeit what’s in our tupperware and venture into the nearest food court. Chicken Wings (Baked)
I wanted some friend chicken wings the other night. But, since frying is a rare occurrence in my house, I didn’t have any grease. I could have gone to Kroger to buy some more, but I couldn’t justify making a special trip for the artery clogger. I had to improvise. I chose instead to season the wings really well with lemon pepper and broil them in the oven until the skin was crisp. Not fried, but still tasty. Broccoli Trees
Children are so amusing. My 2-year-old makes me laugh on a daily basis. It’s her genuine and uncensored remarks about the world that are so refreshing, true and downright funny. At the very least, her interpretations are cute. For instance, she likes broccoli. When I roast it she picks it up with her fingers and chomps it down. Initially, I would chop hers down into pieces small enough for her load onto her tiny toddler utensils, then she noticed the pieces on my plate. So without asking she began to grab florets off my plate. “Mmmm, I like dat trees!”
