    Grateful: Day 1, The Fall

    Today, I am grateful for the fall. I think of it as a period of renewal and rejuvenation. The leaves change colors, then they all fall away. The transformation is miraculous, to me. I grew up in South Florida. We had palm trees and they were always green and it’s always sunny and hot (unless it’s raining, but then after the rain, it’s right back to blistering).     Grateful: The Series

    Gratitude is a powerful sentiment. It means having an attitude of thankfulness and appreciation. When I find myself beginning to get preoccupied with things I don’t have and want more of, like money and material goods that include, but are not limited to, clothing, appliances, home decor, vacations and food items, I have to stop and remind myself of what I DO have. That’s the beauty of gratitude. It changes your mood and your outlook on everything.     Comfort while waiting

    I am READY for spring. And the weather is teasing me so with a few shards of sunlight followed by freezing temperatures, then a peek of sunshine before the rain comes again. Sigh.It’s okay, I know spring will be here very soon and it gives me hope. I’m already in sundresses and sandals (in my mind).Meanwhile, I’m still cranking out some good ole comfort food to bid farewell to the few frigid days remaining. I had fun with this one.
