    Grateful: Day 15, Memories

    I’m thankful for memories. I’ve been looking at old pictures of my firstborn lately. And it’s amazing to me that she was ever so small. I know she was, but when I see her today, she’s tall and lean and changing into a young lady. I don’t know when it happened, but I’ve been here the whole time. I think about who I was and what I was doing when the pictures were taken and some of the memories are good, some of them aren’t. I’m grateful for them all.     Grateful: Day 14, Crock-Pots

    When I walked into the house this evening, I had the baby in her carrier hanging from my forearm. A breast pump and my purse were draped over my left shoulder and my lunch box and her baby bag over the right shoulder. I was so grateful to smell dinner. I’d forgotten about the genius move I made this morning by tossing some drumsticks and barbecue sauce in my Crock-Pot. I was too relieved! I put everything down and made my way to the simmering pot to sneak a taste (and burn my tongue). I’m so grateful that while I was at work this appliance was slowly making our dinner…
