Baby steps
See these precious little feet? I took this picture on a hayride last month. I coordinate actitives for the children of my church and there we were hitched to the back of a tractor traiilor rolling through a Christmas tree farm. I took many pictures that day but this is my favorite. Something about their tiny little feet spoke to me. It’s a beautiful image and made me think about something my pastor often says “baby steps.” It’s a simple concept but it’s so profound. Sometimes you can see where you want to go, have an idea about who you would like to be… but it all takes time and the most important part …

Love in the morning…
I love the stillness of the morning. I feel like God is perched on the edge of his seat reaching down to gently nudge us from our slumbering. He’s listening for our cries of gratitude. It’s so quiet. I know he hears me clearly in the morning. When I do the right thing and get a full night’s rest, the snooze button doesn’t tempt me to linger. Then I have more time to talk to Him and that nourishes and charges my spirit. Then I nourish my mind and my body with a protein packed breakfast like this fritatta. Amen. Good news and bad news, gang. The bad news first: I’ve been eating potato chips for dinner this week. I fault the grocery store for that Buy-One-Get-One-Free special on Lay’s. What was I to do? Now for the Good news: I’m a personal chef! I completed the training February 26 and have been working day and night balancing my day job and getting my personal chef business off the ground.
