    Not a baker…

    My name is Chaundra. I am NOT a baker. I do love baked goods, however. I just don’t enjoy making them. Baking: is the technique of prolonged cooking of food by dry heat acting by convection, and not by radiation, normally in an oven. I think it’s the “prolonged” part that turns me off. It’s so painstakingly precise too. You actually have to pay attention to detail, doling out exact measurements of each ingredient. Then!     She did it again. She always does this. My mom, makes these cakes that drive us crazy. My poor daughter is only 4-years-old and already addicted.  I’m a South Florida native so we took a quick trip home for Superbowl weekend in Miami.     the Daily Soup Cookbook Giveaway

    The Super Bowl is on Sunday. Parties are being planned, menus developed, caterers called and sports bars are booking up. Many are making plans to watch it wherever the largest TV is available. But for me, it’s all about the food. I’m not ashamed. If I were throwing a party this year, and I’m not, I’d have the cliche “Soup-er” Bowl. First of all because it’s a pun and I’m a word nerd. Secondly, I’m all about getting the most bang for my buck. And soups are a wonderful way to use a little food and feed a lot of people.
